Belgium enjoyed a couple of easy friendly victories last week, finishing their preparations with clean-sheet wins against Montenegro and Luxembourg.
Consequently, the Red Devils head into Euro 2024 on a 15-game unbeaten streak across all competitions, having picked up 10 wins and five draws since their last loss.
Belgium cruised through the qualification process, registering six wins and two draws to remain unbeaten, with 22 goals scored and only four conceded.
That said, the Belgians have flattered to deceive in recent European Championships, enduring quarter-final exits at Euro 2016 and Euro 2020.
Slovakia also secured two impressive warm-up wins last week, albeit against weaker opponents, notching 4-0 victories over San Marino and Wales.
The Slovakians have now lost just one of their previous seven matches across all competitions, recording five wins and one draw along the way.
Slovakia also enjoyed an impressive qualifying campaign, recording seven wins, one draw and two losses to qualify from Group J alongside Portugal.
However, it is worth remembering that Slovakia have never managed to make it past the round of 16 at a European Championship, falling at the group stage last time around.
Head-to-head: Belgium boast a 100% record against Slovakia, having won one and drawn two of their three previous meetings.
Following a couple of 1-1 draws in 2002 and 2006, the Red Devils claimed a 2-1 victory over the Slovakians in 2013, courtesy of goals from Eden Hazard and Dries Mertens.
Team news: Belgium’s squad is stacked with top-class players, including Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku. However, Thibaut Courtois has been left out.
On the flip side, Slovakia can call upon the likes of Paris Saint-Germain's Milan Skriniar, Napoli’s Stanislav Lobotka and Newcastle’s Martin Dubravka.
