Earlier this week, Al-Hilal finished the Pro League season with a 2-1 victory over Al-Wehda, with former Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic scoring a 92nd-minute winner.
Mitrovic has enjoyed a phenomenal debut season at Al-Hilal, netting 39 goals in 42 appearances, including three goals in four King Cup matches.
Last month, Al-Hilal booked their place in the King Cup final with a 2-1 victory over Al-Ittihad, meaning they head into Friday’s clash on a nine-game unbeaten streak.
Having avoided defeat in the Pro League this season – winning 31 of their 34 games – Al-Hilal will be confident of adding another trophy to their collection.
Meanwhile, Al-Nassr thrashed Al-Ittihad 4-2 on the final day of the Pro League season, with Cristiano Ronaldo bagging a brace in the rout.
Ronaldo has now scored 44 goals in 44 games for Al-Nassr this term, claiming the Pro League Golden Boot after netting 35 goals in 31 appearances.
Earlier this month, Al-Nassr punched their ticket to the King Cup final with a 3-1 victory over Al-Khaleej, meaning they enter the showpiece on an eight-game unbeaten run.
When you look at the bigger picture, Al-Nassr have lost just one of their last 14 matches across all competitions, and that defeat came against Al-Hilal.
Head-to-head: Al-Hilal have avoided defeat in each of their previous seven meetings with Al-Nassr, who have suffered five losses during that period.
Given that six of the past nine meetings have produced over 2.5 goals, Friday’s showdown looks destined to be another high-scoring encounter.
Team news: Al-Hilal will be without Brazilian duo Neymar and Malcom for the final, as the forwards remain sidelined due to injury.
Al-Nassr also have a couple of injury absentees, with Portuguese playmaker Otavio and homegrown forward Mohammed Maran on the treatment table.
Of course, Al-Nassr are expected to rise to the occasion on Friday, but Al-Hilal will back themselves to extend their hot streak and lift the trophy.
Forebet predicts that Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr will combine for over 2.5 goals, with Al-Hilal expected to outscore their rivals on this occasion.
