It means Liverpool are now four points clear of them at the top of the table, although Pep Guardiola's men also have a game in hand which could bring them to within one.
City also have to head to Anfield in just short of three weeks, while they also have the Manchester derby next weekend and a clash with Arsenal at home at the end of next month.
