The game against the latter extended a strong recent defensive run in the Spanish top flight for Imanol Aranguiz’s team, as they have now kept clean sheets in four of their previous five games in La Liga.
Real Sociedad are unbeaten in four games in the Spanish top-flight on home soil, although their last three Liga matches have produced draws.
Their recent La Liga games at the Reale Arena have been lacking in goals, with under 2.5 goals scored in five of their last six home matches.
The team from Pamplona have failed to impress in recent weeks, as a 3-0 home defeat by Celta Vigo last time out means that Arrasate’s team has won just one of the previous seven games in 90 minutes.
The visitors have also now failed to win in their previous three La Liga games, having suffered back-to-back defeats against Barcelona and Celta.
Their recent poor run has Osasuna in 11th place in the Spanish top-flight table, 11 points off the European spots and nine points clear of the relegation zone.
Osasuna has been poor travellers of late, as they are winless in seven away matches in La Liga, having picked up just two draws and suffered five defeats in their last seven games on their travels.
