Two of Italy’s biggest clubs will lock horns in Serie A this weekend, with both sides looking to extend their respective winning streaks.

On Saturday, Roma entertain Inter Milan at the Stadio Olimpico, as Daniele De Rossi aims to maintain his winning start to life as the manager of his beloved club.

The Giallorossi have climbed to fifth thanks to a run of positive results, but they still find themselves 19 points behind table-topping Inter Milan.

Roma have enjoyed three consecutive victories since De Rossi replaced Jose Mourinho in the managerial hot seat last month.

Following back-to-back 2-1 wins against Hellas Verona and Salernitana, the Giallorossi thrashed Cagliari 4-0 last time out, with Paulo Dybala bagging a brace.

Roma have now avoided defeat in each of their previous 10 home league games, picking up eight wins and two draws along the way.

Trends also show that Roma have lost just three of their last 25 home matches in Serie A, so they will back themselves to frustrate the league leader this weekend.

Meanwhile, Inter Milan claimed a pivotal 1-0 victory over Juventus last weekend to move four points clear of the Old Lady at the summit of the standings.

The Nerazzurri have now won 18 of their 22 Serie A matches this season, suffering a solitary defeat in the process. Plus, they have a game in hand on Juve.

Remarkably, Inter have lost just three of their last 23 away league outings, avoiding defeat at half time in each of their previous 28.

Boasting a 16-game unbeaten run in Serie A, Inter Milan will be hopeful of extending their hot streak with another positive result on Saturday.

Head-to-head: Not only have Inter won each of their last two meetings with Roma across all competitions, but they have also won six of the previous seven.

To make matters worse for Roma, they have claimed a solitary victory in their last 14 matches against Inter Milan, underlining their struggles in this fixture.

Team news: Roma are still without long-term injury absentees Tammy Abraham, Chris Smalling and Leandro Spinazzola.

On the flip side, Inter’s only injury absentee is veteran Colombian winger Juan Cuadrado, who has missed the past 10 matches due to an Achilles problem.

With both sides in excellent form ahead of Saturday’s showdown, the Stadio Olimpico crowd should be treated to an epic clash.

Forebet predicts that Roma and Inter Milan will share over 4.5 goals this weekend, with the league leaders edging out the hosts.
