Four teams remain in the Copa del Rey, with Atletico Madrid and Athletic Bilbao on the other side of the bracket.
Sociedad went unbeaten in their last nine games against Mallorca in all competitions. Tuesday’s cup tie will be their second meeting of the season.
The previous match saw Real Sociedad win 1-0 against Mallorca in the league.
Former Real Madrid player Takafusa Kubo scored the game’s only goal in the 64th minute. The game saw six yellow cards, as Sociedad kept 56% of the possession.
Real Sociedad reached the semifinals of the Copa del Rey thanks to a 2-1 win over Celta Vigo.

Kubo could be back for the first leg due to Japan being eliminated from the Asian Cup. However, Kieran Tierney and Alvaro Odriozola are both set to miss the match due to injury.
Mallorca’s Pablo Maffeo is unlikely to play following a knee injury.
