South Africa knows that they will finish in at least third place in the group if they avoid defeat. A victory would ensure that Bafana Bafana will be in the competition's knockout stages.
However, having taken just a point from their opening two games, nothing but a victory will be good enough for qualification for the next phase of the competition for Tunisia.
The 4-0 win over Namibia last time out was much needed, as it ended a run of three games without a win for South Africa and also ended a three-game goal drought in all competitions.

The loss against Namibia was a rare one, as it was their only defeat in six international outings. Tunisia’s recent outings have lacked goals, with under 2.5 goals scored in their last five outings.
