The Premier League will showcase round No. 15 in midweek. On Tuesday night, Wolverhampton Wanderers will host Burnley, in what could be termed a relegation six-pointer.

Wolves are 13th after 14 matches, with 15 points. Gary O’Neil’s team lost three of their last four league games, including each of their last two matches. Tuesday’s match will come on the heels of a 2-1 loss away to Arsenal.

Burnley go to Molineux flying high. The Clarets defeated Sheffield United in round No. 14 by a score of 5-0.

It was just Burnley’s second win of the season and ended a long streak of defeats.

Vincent Kompany’s team is 19th in the standings and three points from safety. Burnley have already lost 11 matches this season. A win over Wolves would be another step in the right direction.

Burnley have the historical head-to-head advantage over Wolves. They went unbeaten in their last six games versus the Old Gold, with three wins and three draws.

However, those Burnley teams were much different to the one Kompany possesses.

The last three matches between these teams finished with both teams not scoring goals.

However, Wolves recent matches in the Premier League were high scoring. They saw over 2.5 goals in each of the last six fixtures.

O’Neil’s Wolverhampton are playing well at home. Wolves went unbeaten in their last four matches at Molineux, racking up two wins and two draws. The team was outscored 12-9 playing at Molineux in six matches, however.

Burnley are on a three-game losing streak in the Premier League away from Turf Moor.

The Clarets were outscored 12-5 by their last six opponents away from home. Playing at Molineux should be a difficult task for Kompany’s charges.

Kompany could be without three players for the game. Jack Cork isn’t fit and is a doubt to play.

Arijanet Muric could miss out due to an illness. Lyle Foster is also recovering from an illness and may miss the match.

Foster would be a big miss, as he is Burnley’s co-leader in goals (three) with Josh Brownhill. Brownhill scored in Burnley’s 5-0 win over Sheffield United.

Wolves winger Pedro Neto is unlikely to play following a thigh injury. Rayan Ait Nouri is also a doubt to play following an ankle injury.

Mario Lemina and Joao Gomes should both return to the team following suspensions versus Arsenal.

This is a relegation six-pointer and a win for either team would be a major boost to their hopes of survival. Burnley went unbeaten in their last six games versus Wolves, but who will win in midweek?
