Real Zaragoza and Huesca currently find themselves outside of the playoff picture in Spain’s Segunda.
Zaragoza are 10th ahead of round No. 16, which kicks off this weekend. Meanwhile, Huesca are down in 19th and battling against relegation in the early part of the campaign.

On Saturday, Real Zaragoza will host Huesca at La Romareda in an important clash in the Segunda. Los Manos could go as high as fifth with a win over Huesca. A victory could get Real Zaragoza back into the playoff picture.
Huesca could begin to pull away from the relegation zone with a win. However, it does appear that Los Azulgranas will likely battle relegation for much of the campaign.
After a strong start to the Segunda campaign, Real Zaragoza cooled off. Los Manos failed to win any of their last six Segunda games. They only took three points from the last 18 points on offer. The attack struggled across the last six matches, scoring a mere five goals.
Huesca did little better than Saturday’s opponents across their last six matches. Los Azulgranas picked up only six points from the last 18 points on offer. However, Huesca go into round No. 16 unbeaten in their last three fixtures.
They outscored their last three opponents 2-1, keeping two clean sheets in the process. While Real Zaragoza are sliding down the table, Huesca are slowly improving.
Real Zaragoza went unbeaten against Huesca in their last four matches. However, three of those matches ended as draws. Each of those three draws finished with under 2.5 goals scored.
These teams combined for four red cards in their last six head-to-head encounters. Fixtures between Zaragoza and Huesca were fiery. Last season’s fixture played at Huesca’s El Alcoraz finished with both teams having a player sent off. Could we see another red card on Saturday?
Huesca coach Antonio Hidalgo has just one player on the injury list going into the weekend. Defender Ruben Pulido is out for the season with an ACL injury. Miguel Loureiro, Samuel Obeng, and Ignasi Vilarrasa lead Huesca with two goals apiece.
Real Zaragoza coach Fran Escriba has several players on the injury list. Midfielder Marc Aguado is a doubt due to a muscle injury. Forward Sinan Bakis is out with a knee injury. Defenders Fran Gamez and Carlos Nieto are both unlikely to play due to leg injuries. Goalie Cristian Alvarez is also a doubt.
Real Zaragoza and Huesca saw three of their last four matches end in draws. Saturday’s game should also finish in a stalemate.
The teams should play out a second straight 1-1 draw, with goals short in supply.
