Group B leaders France will aim to maintain their 100% record in Euro 2024 qualifying when they host lowly Gibraltar on Saturday evening.

While Les Bleus find themselves six points clear at the summit after six matches, Gibraltar are rooted to the foot of the standings without a single point to their name.

Didier Deschamps’ side have already punched their ticket to next summer’s European Championship, while Gibraltar have already been eliminated.

France have suffered a solitary defeat in eight matches since the World Cup final, picking up seven victories in the process.

In Euro 2024 qualifying, the French have racked up six successive wins, scoring 13 goals (2.2 goals per game) while conceding just once.

Les Bleus have been especially strong in the first half of their recent European Championship qualifiers, avoiding defeat at half time in each of their previous 13 outings.

Having also scored at least one goal in each of their last 13 Euro qualifiers, France will be confident of making light work of Gibraltar.

Indeed, Gibraltar have failed to pick up a single point so far, suffering six consecutive defeats without scoring a goal.

To make matters worse for the minnows, they have conceded a whopping 21 goals, meaning they average 3.5 goals against per game this campaign.

When you look at the bigger picture, Gibraltar have lost each of their last 24 European Championship qualifiers, and they are unlikely to buck that trend on Saturday.

Having registered just two victories in their previous 30 away matches across all competitions, the perennial underdogs look set to endure another difficult night.

Head-to-head: France claimed a comfortable 3-0 victory in the revers fixture back in June, courtesy of goals from Olivier Giroud, Kylian Mbappe and Aymen Mouelhi (OG).

That was the first-ever meeting between the two sides, meaning Les Bleus boast a 100% record against Gibraltar.

Team news: PSG teenager Warren Zaire-Emery could make his debut for France. Meanwhile, Olivier Giroud and Antoine Griezmann sit on 127 and 125 caps, respectively.

Gibraltar’s squad contains Wycombe Wanderers forward Tjay De Barr and Cadiz midfielder Nicholas Pozo, with the majority of players plying their trade in the domestic league.

Ultimately, the gulf in quality between France and Gibraltar is seismic, meaning the hosts should run away with the victory on Saturday.

Forebet predicts that France will crush Gibraltar this weekend, with the hosts expected to score over 3.5 goals while keeping a clean sheet.
