Four teams are still in contention to qualify from European Championship qualifying Group E as we enter the fifth round of fixtures.

One of the two games to be played on the 10th of September is between Albania and Poland, with the match being contested at the Arena Kombëtare.

The hosts are currently second in the group on 7 points while the visitors sit in third place on 6 points.

Albania come into the match having picked up a point thanks to a good 1-1 draw at the Czech Republic on Thursday night.

With the score 0-0 at half time, it was the Czech Republic who opened the scoring in the 56th minute but it did not take long for Albania to equalise and they replied 10 minutes later to take a point.

The draw in the Czech Republic means Albania are undefeated in 4 of their last 5 matches, 4 of which have been played in 2024 European Championship qualifying.

There have been wins at home over Armenia and Moldova, the latter of which was a European Championship qualifying game plus a victory in the Faroe Islands.

The only defeat in the group for Albania came in the reverse fixture against Poland, which ended 1-0.

Trends show Albania are undefeated in 4 of their last 5 home European Championship qualifiers.

Albania have kept just a single clean sheet in their 4 most recent home European Championship qualifying games.

Poland travel to the Arena Kombëtare on the back of a 2-0 home win over the Faroe Islands in Group E on Thursday night.

It was a far from convincing performance from the Poles and they took until the 73rd minute to score the opening goal from the penalty spot.

Poland added a second goal in the 83rd minute but it was not a comfortable night in Warsaw.

The win over the Faroe Islands means Poland have won 3 of their last 4 games.

There was a 1-0 home friendly victory over Germany plus a 1-0 home win over Albania in European Championship qualifying.

However, Poland lost 3-2 in Moldova in Group E and 3-1 in the Czech Republic, which has left them with some work to do in this group.

Trends show Poland have won 2 of their last 4 away European Championship qualifiers but have lost each of their last 2 on the road.

Team news: Albania will go with much the same team that started in Prague. The only change could be Mirlind Daku coming into the attack in place of Soko Çikalleshi.

Poland could make a couple of changes to their starting XI, with Pawe Wszołek, Sebastian Szymański, and Karol Świderski pushing for a place in team.

Poland need to start winning regularly in this group and they could be about to make it two wins on the bounce against Albania.

The hosts will make life tough for the Polish and we expect to see both teams score but for Poland to take maximum points.
