Just one point separates Internacional and Cuiabá in the Brazilian Serie A ahead of their meeting this weekend with the away side climbing into the top 12 continental spots within the past few weeks after a much-improved bout of form.

Cuiaba have avoided a loss in the past four games after previously losing two in a row.

In fact, since the start of June, the club have lost only two games and after winning only one of the first eight games in the league, the club have put together an incredible period of form.

Now, after 16 games, the club have won six times and head into this weekend's fixtures with a victory over Sao Paulo last time out in a game that saw Clayson score from the penalty spot, as Isidro Pitta netted the decisive goal in the 78th minute.

In fact, it was only a 99th-minute goal from Sao Paulo that ruined their clean sheet. On the other hand, Cuiaba had just 28% of the ball.

The club also defeated Fortaleza before that with a winning goal from Deyverson in the 19th minute.

Once again, however, Cuiaba had just 31% of the ball and scored with their only shot on target.

A draw with Bahia would come in just before that, as Deyverson once again scored with a finish from the penalty spot in the first half.

However, an own goal from Alan Empereur sealed just a point for his side.

Cuiaba's four-game unbeaten run also started with a 3-0 victory against Santos, as Denilson and Rikelme netted alongside another Deyverson goal.

It now means the club have won six times and lost six games, drawing the other four. They have also netted 16 times and let in 18.

The only losses the 12th-placed side have been dealt with in the past 10 games have been in losses at home to Botafogo and on the road to Vasco da Gama. Prior to this, Cuiaba also defeated Cruzeiro and drew with Coritiba.

As for Internacional, they are sitting in 10th and with six wins on the board too but only five defeats, with the club drawing another game instead.

However, with just 13 goals scored, only Vasco da Gama in last place and 15th-placed Corinthians have netted fewer.

Last time out, Internacional drew 0-0 for the second time after doing so against Palmeiras and RB Bragantino. Forebet predicts a draw in this game once more and under 2.5 goals.
