Sport Huancayo and Cusco are back in action in Liga 1 this weekend with the Clausura matchday three of four taking place at the Estadio Inca Garcilaso de la Vega with both sides kept apart by just one point in the table.
Cusco have only played one game in the Clausura side of things as they managed to beat UTC 2-1 after a goal from Tiago Cantor Armentano and a late penalty from Felipe Rodriguez.

This was also their second win in a row after also defeating Cesar Vallejo in the Liga 1 Apertura final day of the season.
Mauro Da Luz and Felipe Rodriguez bagged a goal each that day when they beat Vallejo.
In the end, Cusco finished fourth in the Apertura side of things with 10 goals and six defeats in total.
This also saw the club let in 22 goals from the 18 games and score just 24 goals. Nevertheless, it was a decent season for them and they ended confidently too.
Towards the end of the campaign, the only games Cusco lost were to Sporting Cristal and Universitario after also defeating Boys and Deportivo Municipal by one goal in each game.
As for Huancayo, they are heading into this game with just one win from the first two in the Clausura side of things, as they also managed to beat Vallejo 2-0 after a finish each from Ray Gomez and Carlos Esocbar Ortiz.
In the last outing, the club drew 0-0 with UTC and now head into this game with a three-game unbeaten run after also beating Universitario 1-0 towards the end of the season. Like Cusco, they ended the season relatively well.
In fact, Huancayo finished behind Cusco by just one place in the table after winning eight games and losing seven.
The club managed to score six more goals than Cusco and ended the campaign with 30 scored in total and 25 let in.
These two have not met this season after their first match was cancelled back on matchday three.
Nevertheless, both sides will be confident in getting a win in this game after ending the season well.
