The Red Bulls are fifth in the standings and 10 points off first-placed Botafogo. A win over Sao Paulo could send Bragantino into Serie A’s top four.
However, a defeat could see Bragantino fall as low as ninth depending on results elsewhere.
Sao Paulo are one of the clubs that could leapfrog Bragantino with a win on Sunday. The Tricolour are seventh ahead of round No 14.
They took 21 points from the opening 13 fixtures. Consistency has been difficult for Sao Paulo to locate this term.
