Over in the Western Conference, Austin FC occupy eighth place, with 10 points separating the two sides in the overall standings.
Inter Miami head into this weekend’s clash on the back of a 4-1 defeat to the Philadelphia Union, despite seeing 70% of the ball at Subaru Park last weekend.
As a result, the Herons have lost each of their previous seven MLS clashes, conceding over 1.5 goals on five occasions during that period.
In terms of the bigger picture, Inter Miami have lost 13 of their previous 16 league outings, making it easy to understand why they find themselves in such a predicament.
