Two struggling sides in the Brazilian Serie A will meet this weekend in the league with Vasco da Gama set to open the doors of the Estádio São Januário to Cuiabá after losing there just a few days ago.
Vasco da Gama are sitting down in 19th after that loss during the week to Goias. Worse yet, the latter sit above them by only two places in the league which has now thrown Vasco da Gama deeper into relegation.

This also means the club have won just one game this season which came all the way back in mid-April after a goal from Andrey Santos after five minutes and a finish from Gabriel Pec just five minutes later won it for them.
Since then, the club have gone on to register draws with Palmeiras, Fluminense as they even drew with last-placed Coritiba.
Recently, however, Vasco da Gama have managed to lose to Sao Paulo, Santos, Fortaleza, Flamengo and Internacional alongside that defeat to Goias. It does now mean they are also on a six-game losing run.
Vasco da Gama now have a gap of six points to make up to get out of the relegation spots in the league, and with just 10 goals scored from 19 games, only Cuiaba and Coritiba have scored fewer goals than them.
The club also head into this game with 20 goals conceded in the league.
As for Cuiaba, it is them who have this six-point gap on Vasco da Gama with them winning two more games this campaign after a win against Goias three weeks ago thanks to a goal from Deyverson in the second half away from home.
The club did, however, lose to Botafogo 1-0 last time out at home after also drawing with Corinthians just before that.
It does mean just two wins in the past five matches for them, as Cuiaba also defeated Cruzeiro 1-0 away from home after another finish from Deyverson.
Ivo Vieira's men are heading into this one with the second fewest goals scored in Serie A this season with only nine on the board after also letting in 15 goals at the other end. Vieira's side have also managed to lose five times this season.
Forebet now predicts a draw in this one and for the game to see under 2.5 goals as two of the Serie A’s worst scorers meet with one another with Cuiaba boasting of a better away record than their one at home.
