Both Denmark and Northern Ireland head into this Group H clash on Friday night after a loss and a win each in the Euro 2024 qualifiers as the Danes look to reestablish themselves as the favourites to win this group.

Ahead of the weekend’s fixtures in Group H, Slovenia are the only side to win both their games and now sit top of the table as a result after defeating Northern Ireland and Kazakhstan.

Denmark, however, after being labelled as the main side to watch in this group, have already been defeated by Kazakhstan in a stunning match.

Rasmus Højlund looked like being the hero once more for Denmark that day after a first half brace brought him on to five goals in two games in 2023.

However, a finish from Askhat Tagybergen in the 86th after a 73rd-minute penalty brought the game level.

Then, Abat Aimbetov scored in the dying embers of the game to steal all three points for Kazakhstan.

Prior to this, Denmark eased to a 3-1 win over Finland after Hojlund scored a hat-trick for his country with a goal in the 21st, 82nd and 93rd minute of the game.

The 20-year-old has rapidly established himself as the key man for Denmark, as the nation had 10 shots on target that day and once again proved their attacking worth.

Christian Nørgaard and Thomas Delaney are notable absentees for Denmark in this squad and they will be missed in midfield.

Kasper Dolberg and Andreas Cornelius have a combined 20 goals together for the Red and Whites and will also miss out on the action this international break.

As for Northern Ireland, they were beaten by Finland 1-0 in Belfast in their last outing, although they did beat San Marino 2-0 after a brace from Dion Charles that saw him score a goal in either half.

Because of this, the club sit level on points with Denmark and with the same goals difference, although the Danish outfit have scored more goals but let in more.

Kyle Lafferty will be a huge miss for Northern Ireland after he withdrew from the squad and Josh Magennis is also not with the team - the two have a combined record of 30 goals.

Northern Ireland's all-time leading appearance maker, Steven Davis, is also not with the squad for these games.

Forebet predicts a draw here and for the game to see under 2.5 goals.
