Finland take on Slovenia at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium with the two sides starting off with a positive in their opening two games of the Group H Euro 2024 qualifiers where the away side sit top of the table.

Slovenia are ahead of Denmark, Kazakhstan, Finland and Northern Ireland by three points in the table with them winning both of their games so far after the other sides lost one and won the other.

Finland travelled to Belfast in their last outing in a game that saw Benjamin Kallman score in the first half of the game during a 1-0 win.

Prior to this, Teemu Pukki and co. lost to Denmark away from home after a hat-trick from Rasmus Hojlund alongside a goal from Oliver Antman for Finland.

Pukki is back with his nation for this one and he comes in search of his 38th goal in his 111th cap.

We will also likely see Kallman get some more minutes after his five goals in 11 caps.

Finland will be without some important names, however, as Robin Lod and Leo Väisänen stay in America with their MLS sides while their season goes on.

Marcus Forss is also not with the squad after a fantastic campaign with Middlesbrough.

As for Slovenia, they defeated San Marino 2-0 last time out after another goal from star man, Benjamin Sesko.

The nation had 77% of the ball that day and produced 25 shots, although they only managed one goal from one of their own players with the other being an own goal.

A narrow 2-1 win over Kazakhstan came just prior to that result, as David Brekalo scored in the second half alongside a finish from Zan Vipotnik in a comeback win.

These two results keep Slovenia top of the table in what was expected to be an easy group for Denmark.

Slovenia are going to be without captain and main goalkeeper Jan Oblak for this international break and they will also be without Miha Mevlja after he withdrew from the squad.

Also in 2023, Finland have lost to Estonia at home and Sweden at home too which now means just one win in their four games of the season.

The only other wins they’ve had in the past year have been against Montenegro.

Forebet predicts a draw here and for the game to see under 2.5 goals.
