Azerbaijan come into the game having suffered a heavy 5-0 loss at Sweden in their previous fixture, which was a European Championship qualifying game.

The score was 0-0 up until the 38th minute and that is when Azerbaijan conceded their first goal.

It was 20 minutes into the second half before Sweden scored their second goal but Azerbaijan fell apart in the closing stages, conceding 3 more goals.

The loss in Sweden means Azerbaijan have lost their last 2 fixtures, both of which have been in European Championship qualifying.

They started their campaign with a 4-1 loss in Austria and were 2-0 down after 29 minutes.

Trends show Azerbaijan have won 5 of their last 7 matches in all competitions. There have been wins over Belarus and Kazakhstan at home plus Slovakia and Moldova away in the Nations League.

Azerbaijan also beat North Macedonia 3-1 away in a friendly but have won just 4 of their last 31 games in all competitions and have lost each of their last 5 matches in European Championship qualifying.

Estonia make the trip to the Dalğa Arena on the back of a 2-1 defeat in Austria in European Championship qualifying.

It is their only match to date in the group and Estonia took a shock lead in the 25th minute.

However, Estonia could not hold on to their advantage and having conceded the equaliser in the 68th minute conceded a second goal 2 minutes from time.

Trends show Estonia have won 2 of their 6 most recent fixtures in all competitions. The wins have come over Lithuania at home in the Baltic Cup third place match and Finland away in a friendly.

In terms of European Championship qualification, Estonia have failed to win any of their last 12 games.

They have lost 11 of those matches with the only point coming thanks to a 0-0 draw in Belarus in 2019.

Estonia have kept just two clean sheets in their last 16 away European Championship qualifiers.

Team news: Azerbaijan have four players in their squad playing outside the country, with striker Renat Dadashov being the most prominent playing his football for Grasshoppers in Switzerland.

Namiq Ələsgərov and Emin Mahmudov provide experience in midfield.

Estonia have called up 32 year old striker Henri Anier despite the fact he is currently without a club. Captain Konstantin Vassiljev has 150 caps for his country and should start in midfield.

Both teams need to take something from this game and that is exactly what could happen.

Azerbaijan have been poor to date but have played the two toughest teams away from home. Estonia gave a good account of themselves in Austria and this one could end level, with both teams scoring.
