Juventus and AC Milan will aim to enhance their respective top-four bids when they lock horns at the Allianz Stadium on Sunday night.

As it stands, Milan are in the driver’s seat, as they find themselves three points inside the Champions League places with two matches remaining.

Following another points deduction, Juventus have slipped to seventh in the standings – five points shy of the top four.

Juventus head into Sunday’s showdown on the back of a disappointing 4-1 defeat at Empoli, despite racking up 61% possession and 19 shots on Monday.

That loss ended a three-game winning streak for Max Allegri’s men in Serie A, following victories over Lecce, Atalanta and Cremonese.

It is also worth noting that Juventus have won six of their last seven home league games, with only two Serie A defeats coming at the Allianz Stadium all season.

Having won 11 of their previous 14 league encounters on home soil, the Old Lady will be difficult to beat on Sunday.

As for AC Milan, they thrashed relegated Sampdoria 5-0 last time out, with veteran striker Olivier Giroud netting a hat-trick in the rout.

That victory ended a three-match losing run for the Rossoneri, who suffered back-to-back defeat to Inter Milan in the Champions League semi-finals.

In Serie A, Milan have lost just one of their last nine matches, recording four wins and four draws to remain in the hunt for a top-four berth.

That said, Milan have failed to win any of their last three away league outings, with draws against Bologna and Roma preceding a 2-0 defeat at Spezia.

Head-to-head: Milan are unbeaten in four matches against Juventus, while the Turin giants have managed to win just one of the past eight meetings.

It is worth remembering, however, that Milan have claimed a solitary victory in their previous 11 league matches at the Allianz Stadium.

Team news: Juventus are currently without Kaio Jorge, Leonardo Bonucci, Matias Soule, Mattia De Sciglio, Nicolo Fagioli and Paul Pogba due to injury.

Meanwhile, AC Milan’s injury list contains Ante Rebic, Aster Vranckx, Divock Origi, Ismael Bennacer and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

With four draws coming in the previous eight meetings between Juventus and Milan, Sunday’s clash looks destined to be a tight affair.

Given what is at stake, Forebet predicts that Juventus and AC Milan will play out a tense and cagey draw on Sunday, with both teams scoring under 1.5 goals.
