11th and eighth will meet in the Allsvenskan this Tuesday at the Tele2 Arena with Hammarby set to play hosts to Mjällby in a crucial game early on in the season with both sides already starting the new campaign in poor form.

Mjallby are already sitting with two wins, two draws and two defeats in the league after six games and now sit behind the European spots by five already. It's Elfsborg who sit in the third spot and after finishing ninth last season, Mjallby are already heading for a similar outcome this campaign.

Elfsborg beat them 1-0 two weeks back and after also drawing with AIK last Wednesday, it means the club have not won in almost a month of action. Brommapojkarna defeated them on this three-game winless run too after what looked to be a positive start to the season for Mjallby.

The club started the season with a draw against Landskrona and then a 2-2 draw with Varbergs BoIS. They then went on to defeat Varnamo in a great performance on the road that saw them concede just two shots on target and have four of their own.

Mjallby then beat Degerfors 2-0 at home in what is so far their only win on home soil. It does, however, mean they head into another game at the Tele2 Arena without a loss in 2023 having also managed to beat BK Olympic back in January and win both their home games in the Svenska Cupen group stage at home.

Hammarby currently sit 11th in the Allsvenskan and have now lost four times in the league. They also sit behind Mjallby by two points and have let in 12 goals already - this is seven more than their opposition. On the other hand, the club have scored three more goals than the home side in this one.

Hammarby did lose 2-0 to Norrkoping last time out in a game that also saw Simon Strand get sent off in the dying embers of the game and he now misses this match. The club did still have 13 efforts towards goal that day and hit the target with five of them and saw 64% of the ball.

This now means they've won only one of their past five games after also losing 4-2 to Malmo, as the club defeated Varbergs 2-0 towards the end of April.

Forebet predicts a win for Hammarby in this one and for the game to see over 2.5 goals.
