Liverpool are on a strong run of form in the Premier League. The Anfielders are unbeaten in four straight matches ahead of a visit to West Ham on Wednesday night.

Jurgen Klopp’s Reds are seventh in the league and nine points off the top four. Just one point separates the Reds from sixth-place Aston Villa in the race for the final European qualification place.

West Ham moved into 13th place after a 4-0 win at Bournemouth on Sunday. The Hammers are unbeaten in three straight league matches and are now six points off the relegation zone.

David Moyes has the team playing well right now, but it struggles against Liverpool traditionally.

Since 1993, the teams have played 56 times in the Premier League. Liverpool posted a record of 34W-11D-11L in their 56 head-to-head meetings with the Hammers.

The Reds averaged 1.91 goals per match across those 56 matches. West Ham averaged just 0.96 goals versus Liverpool.

Although Liverpool are unbeaten in four straight matches, they did concede goals in each of those matches. Liverpool conceded five times in the last three matches.

The Reds surprisingly played a goal-fest against Nottingham Forest at Anfield on Saturday, winning 3-2.

West Ham are strong at home, with 22 points from 16 matches at the London Stadium. Liverpool, on the other hand, have been very poor on the road with 16 points from 16 fixtures.

The team has a –5-goal difference on the road. Liverpool are unbeaten in their last two away fixtures in the league.

The Premier League rivals played in October at Anfield. Liverpool eked out a narrow 1-0 victory thanks to a Darwin Nunez goal in the 22nd minute.

Liverpool outshot West Ham 22-8, with seven shots hitting the target. West Ham’s Lukasz Fabianski was forced to make six saves.

Moyes has just one injury issue going into the match. Gianluca Scamacca is out with a knee injury. Scamaaca had surgery on the knee and is unlikely to return this season.

Klopp could keep Curtis Jones in the starting XI. The Liverpool academy product has been in fine form for the Reds. Klopp has used a similar starting XI for the last four matches, giving Liverpool some continuity. Diogo Jota has four goals in his last two matches.

Liverpool won six of their last seven games against West Ham in all competitions. The Reds should post a seventh win from the last eight matches versus West Ham. The win could send Liverpool up to fifth place.
