Another London derby takes place on Wednesday night with Chelsea set to welcome Brentford to Stamford Bridge with the Blues sitting behind the Bees in the Premier League table in what is turning out to be one of their worst-ever seasons.

For the first time in Premier League history, Brentford are sitting ahead of Chelsea in the league table. Currently, the gap is five points in favour of Brentford, but the Blues do have a game in hand, meaning they could get past them and up into 10th in the next few weeks with a win here.

Nevertheless, it has been a terrible season for Chelsea and they sit just 11 points above the relegation zone and only two points above Crystal Palace just below them. In fact, Frank Lampard's side are now 20 points behind the Champions League spot of fourth.

Lampard is still yet to guide his side to a win since taking over a few weeks back, as his men have gone on to lose 1-0 to Wolverhampton Wanderers, 2-0 to Real Madrid in the first leg of a Champions League quarter-final, 2-1 at home to Brighton & Hove Albion and 2-0 once more to Real in the return fixture at Stamford Bridge.

The last time Chelsea picked up a point was at home to Liverpool in a goalless draw and with a loss to Aston Villa and a draw with Everton before that, it means their last win was against Leicester City at the start of March.

Chelsea are relatively free on the injury front, with Kalidou Koulibaly being the only name ruled out here, as Armando Broja remains out for the season.

Lampard has been starting Conor Gallagher in his short tenure so far, in contrast to Graham Potter’s formula - Gallagher has scored the only goal in the last four games Lampard has been in charge of.

As for Brentford, they've slipped down the league table in recent weeks with them failing to win any of the past six games.

Defeats to Manchester United, Newcastle United and Wolves have come in this time, while the club have drawn with Leicester, Brighton and Aston Villa.

Brentford will be without Pontus Jansson and Kristoffer Ajer in this game, while Keane Lewis-Potter remains out for the season. Christian Norgaard is nearing a return, however, and could feature here.

Forebet predicts a draw here and for the game to see under 2.5 goals.
