Granada will aim to enhance their chances of promotion to La Liga when they host Real Oviedo in Spain’s Segunda Division on Sunday.

class="os_With 10 games remaining, Granada occupy the second automatic promotion spot, with first-placed Eibar sitting four points clear at the summit of the table.

At the opposite end of the standings, Real Oviedo find themselves 16th – six points outside the relegation zone and 19 points shy of Granada.

Granada head into Sunday’s clash on the back of a 2-1 victory at Albacete last weekend, meaning they have won three of their last four matches.

Better still, Granada carry a nine-game unbeaten streak into this contest, having claimed seven wins and two draws since their last loss.

When you look at the bigger picture, the promotion chasers have won 11 of their past 17 league matches, suffering just three defeats along the way.

It is also worth noting that Granada hold the fourth-best defensive record in the division, having conceded just 23 goals in 32 games this term.

As for Real Oviedo, they have lost 13 of their 32 league games this season, picking up 10 wins and nine draws in the process.

Oviedo are also the lowest scorers in Spain’s second tier, having netted a measly 20 goals this term, although they have only conceded two more than Granada.

There is no hiding the fact that Real Oviedo have struggled on the road of late, as they have managed to win just three of their last 16 away outings across all competitions.

On top of that, Oviedo have only managed to win one of their last six matches, suffering three defeats in four outings before beating Leganes last time out.

Head-to-head: Real Oviedo have won each of their last two league meetings with Granada 1-0, although Granada have upped their game since then.

Given that five of the past six meetings between the teams have produced under 2.5 goals, Granada and Oviedo are likely to dish up a low-scoring clash this time around.

Team news: Granada will be without the injured quartet of Jorge Molina, Raul Torrente, Miguel Rubio and Erick Cabaco this weekend.

Meanwhile, the visitors have reported no injuries ahead of Sunday’s showdown. Oviedo’s danger man is Borja Baston, who has scored 10 goals this season.

At the end of the day, promoting-chasing Granada shouldn’t struggle to claim all three points when relegation-threatened Oviedo come to town.

Forebet predicts that Granada will secure a low-scoring victory over Real Oviedo, with the hosts expected to keep a clean sheet in the process.
