On Thursday night, Slovakia hosts Luxembourg as both teams look to start their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign in Group J with a victory.
The home side heads into this clash on the back of a poor run of form, as Slovakia has failed to win in their last five games in all competitions. Last time out, they drew 0-0 against Chile in an international friendly. It was their third straight draw in all matches.

Slovakia’s recent record in European Championship qualifying is a mixed one, as although they are unbeaten in three games, they have won just once in their last five games in 90 minutes.
The home side also has an inconsistent home record in qualifying for the Euro’s, as the record of two wins in 90 minutes illustrates.
However, a penalty kick victory over the Republic of Ireland in their last home match after a goalless draw helped them qualify for Euro 2020.
The visitors are unbeaten in their last five international games but have won just one of their last six matches, as four of their previous five games have produced draws.
Their recent international outings have been relatively low-scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in six of their last nine matches.
Luxembourg has found wins in European Championship games hard to come by, as they have won just once in their last 11 qualifiers. That run includes suffering five straight defeats, conceding at least two goals in their previous four outings.
Luxembourg has struggled to avoid defeat away from home in qualifying for recent European Championships, as they have lost 14 of their previous 15 away games in qualifying.
Forebet predicts that Slovakia will record a victory in a high-scoring encounter to kick off their qualifying campaign in a positive manner.
