Hellas Verona are set to welcome Fiorentina to the Marcantonio Bentegodi Stadium this weekend as the home side aim to rocket themselves out of the relegation zone with the Florence outfit coming into this one off the back of another win in Europe.

Fiorentina ended up beating Primeira Liga side Braga 7-2 over the course of their two legs against one another in the Europa Conference League.

In fact, Vincenzo Italiano's men are now one of the favourites to win the competition, as they beat Braga 3-2 on Thursday night and 4-0 the week before that.

Quite incredibly, Fiorentina did go 2-0 down at one stage in the game, but Rolando Mandragora brought one back just before half time.

Riccardo Saponara and Arhur Cabral would get a goal each in the second half to give the Serie A side plenty of breathing room towards the end of the game.

Back in Serie A, Fiorentina are, however, winless in their past five games since beating Sassuolo at the start of January. It now means it's been almost two months since they recorded a win in the league.

Nevertheless, they've managed to get through the Europa Conference League with ease and also beat Sampdoria and Torino in this time and made it into the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia, where they will meet with Cremonese over two legs in April.

The Florence side are starting to look over their shoulder now, as they are above Verona in 18th by eight points from a gap that was 13 just four weeks ago.

Should Verona win here, the gap would be five points and it would give the home side in this one great hope of escaping out of the bottom three.

As for Verona, they went back to the losing column last weekend with a 1-0 defeat in Rome to Roma. Nevertheless, they are still in their best run of form in 2022/23, as they've beaten Salernitana, Cremonese and Lecce in the past six weeks.

Verona are still one of the favourites to go down, however, and a win here would be arguably their biggest of the season to date.

Despite the form of Fiorentina in recent games and their pursuit into the Coppa Italia semi-finals, they haven't found goals too easy to come by.

The club may struggle here because of the improved form from Hellas Verona and Forebet now predicts a draw and for the game to see under 2.5 goals.
