Monaco and Brest will meet this Sunday in Ligue 1 as the away side aim to carry on their excellent form in Ligue 1 after another win in midweek against Bayer Leverkusen.

Monaco have been one of the in-form teams this season since the World Cup with them now rocketing themselves up into third in the table.

The club also managed to defeat Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League in Germany on Thursday as an own goal gave them the league before the club fell 2-1 down. Krepin Diatta soon equalised, just before Axel Disasi scored a goal in the 92nd minute to win it for his side.

Adding to their excellent form, Monaco also managed to smash the league leaders and champions of France, Paris Saint-Germain, just last weekend.

Another excellent brace from Ben Yedder stole the show that day, as Aleksandr Golovin scored after four minutes. The game finished 3-1, as all goals came in the first half.

Monaco are up into third in the table as a result of the poor form from Lens, as they've now won 14 times, lost four and drawn five.

The club also have the second-best goals scored record with 51, as the likes of Ben Yedder and Breel Embolo continue to score and impress - only PSG have bagged more so far.

Philippe Clement's men are still two behind Marseille in second and adrift of PSG by seven points as well, having won three fewer games.

Nevertheless, they are unbeaten since action resumed in France in 90 minutes, as only Rodez of Ligue 2 have managed to beat them since the World Cup with a penalty shootout win back at the start of January.

As for Brest, they fell right back into the losing column after a previous good spell in Ligue 1. The club were hammered 3-0 by Montpellier last Sunday, with them having just three shots on target throughout the match.

Just prior to this, Eric Roy's men did take a point off the fourth-placed Lens and also drew 0-0 away from home against Lyon.

One of Brest’s biggest results this season came in a 4-0 victory against Angers, and this happened just three weeks ago. Nevertheless, they remain in 15th and in deep trouble if they cannot string together more wins.

Forebet predicts a win for Monaco and for the game to see over 2.5 goals.
