The champions of Turkey will meet with the league leaders on Christmas Eve as Trabzonspor and Fenerbahçe reignite their rivalry in the Super Lig after a troubling season so far in the pursuit of defending the title for Trabzonspor.
The Super Lig champions have been back in competitive action for just one game so far and they have managed to win that clash against Samsunspor.

In fact, they have not played in the league since the start of November which does also mean you have to go back to October to see their last win in the Super Lig.
Against Samsunspor, Umut Bozok took the lead for Trabzonspor in the Turkish Cup fifth round, before Naci Unuvar scored twice with a goal in each half of the 3-0 win.
The Turkish champions also met with Hull City in early December for a club friendly, as Trezeguet scored after four minutes to give his side the lead before a late equaliser. They then met with Crystal Palace where Trezeguet and Bozok scored again in a 2-2 draw.
Back in the league, the club are sitting seventh in the table with just six wins on the board, but with only two defeats as well, they remain with the same losses as the league leaders. They have, however, netted only 19 goals so far and let in 16 too with five draws also on the board.
On the other hand, the Super Lig champions do have a game in hand to play on a few of those above them, which could see them jump into the top four if they win that game.
As for Fenerbahce, they are sitting comfortably at the top of the Super Lig. The gap is only two points on rivals Galatasaray, but in winning nine games and scoring a stunning 36 times in 13 games, they are easily the best team in Turkey this season so far.
Fenerbahce defeated Istanbulspor in the Turkish Cup fifth round last time out, winning the game 3-1.
Fenerbahce are top of the table for a reason here and Trabzonspor - despite being just five points behind - are not having the best time in the the attempts to defend their title after waiting so long to win it.
Their record at home has also been pretty poor and Forebet predicts a win for Fenerbahce here and for the game to see over 2.5 goals.
