On Thursday night, Jong PSV and Jong Ajax go head-to-head in the Netherlands Eerste Divisie in a midtable battle between the big rivals.
The Eindhoven outfit has had a mixed campaign so far and currently sits in 10th place in the Eerste Divisie, having picked up 23 points from their 17 league games so far this season.

However, Jong PSV heads into this clash after two straight league wins 2-1 against Jong Utrecht and last time out 3-2 against Jong Az Alkmaar.
The games continued a high-scoring trend for the home side in the Dutch second tier, as five of their last six matches have produced over 2.5 goals.
Adil Ramzi’s team have an inconsistent recent home record in the Dutch second tier, as they have won three and lost four of their previous seven matches on home soil.
The visitors are two places and two points behind their hosts in the Dutch second-tier table after a similar season so far in 2022/23. The team from the capital heads into this game on a poor recent run of form, as they have won just once in their previous six matches in the Eerste Divisie.
A 2-1 home defeat by Jong Utrecht last time out ended a three-game unbeaten run in the second tier for the visitors, however. The result means that both teams have now scored in Jong Ajax’s last seven games in the Dutch second tier.
Johnny Heitinga’s team have a decent recent away record in the league, as they are unbeaten in their previous four away games.
However, they have also won just two of their last 16 away games in the Eerste Divisie.
With such little difference between these two teams in the standings, it is not surprising that Forebet predicts that this game will finish in a high-scoring draw.
