Group F reaches its all-important matchday three on Thursday. One team looking to seal their place in the knockout stages of the competition is Morocco, who go head-to-head with Canada in their final group game of the World Cup.
John Herdman’s team have produced some bright moments in Qatar, but ultimately both of their group games at World Cup 2022 against Belgium and Croatia have ended in defeat. Canada took an early lead against Croatia last time out through Alphonso Davies but fell to a 4-1 loss in the end.

The twin defeats mean that Canada has lost all five of their games at World Cups. They go into this game with very little to play for but pride.
A victory would be a historical one, though, and the team would at least get some small reward for their undoubted efforts in Qatar.
The north African team heads into this game second in the group and know that a victory would seal a place in the knockout rounds of the competition.
A draw would be enough for Morocco to make the last 16 if Belgium fails to beat Croatia or Belgium record a heavy win over Croatia. Either way, Walid Regragui’s team are in a strong position heading into this final game of the group.
The surprise 2-0 win over Belgium last time out continued a stellar recent run of form for Morocco of late, as they are now seven matches undefeated. A major factor in that recent good form has been their strong defensive displays, as Morocco has kept six straight clean sheets.
Despite their position in the group, the win over Belgium ended a four-game winless run in the World Cup for Morocco.
Forebet predicts that Morocco will seal their position in the knockout stages of the World Cup by recording a victory in a high-scoring encounter.
