We have reached the final round of matches in Group B of the 2022 World Cup and all four teams still have a chance of qualifying.

On the 29th of November we have a meeting between Wales and England, which will be played at the Ahmad bin Ali Stadium, Al Rayyan. Wales start the match bottom of the group on 1 point while England are top on 4 points.

Wales come into the game on the back of a hugely disappointing 2-0 loss against Iran in their second group fixture.

The Welsh never got going in the match and Iran were the better team for most of the game. The Welsh goalkeeper was sent off late in the match and Iran took full advantage to score 2 goals in added time to claim maximum points.

That result means Wales have yet to win a game at the 2022 World Cup. They started with a 1-1 draw against the United States.

Wales were 1-0 down at halftime but changed their style of play in the second half and deserved to score the equaliser, which came via the penalty spot in the 82nd minute.

Trends show Wales have failed to win any of their last 7 matches in all competitions. They have recorded only 1 win from their 10 most recent fixtures and that was the 1-0 victory over Ukraine to seal a place at the 2022 World Cup.

England came away from their previous match with a 0-0 draw against the United States. England were the favourites going into the game but the United States more than matched them and could easily have taken all 3 points.

Despite producing a disappointing performance in the game against the United States, England are still in pole position to win the group.

They started their 2022 World Cup qualifying campaign with a tremendous 6-2 victory over Iran. The Iran goalkeeper suffered a head injury and was forced to leave the pitch and England took full advantage as they picked off the Iran defence with ease.

Trends show England are undefeated in their last 3 matches in all competitions. However, they have recorded only 1 win from their 8 most recent fixtures and that was the comfortable win over Iran. England have kept just a single clean sheet in their last 5 games.

Team news and Wales will be without suspenfromded goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey. Danny Ward will take his place in goal and every other player is fit and available for the Welsh.

England have doubts over the fitness of James Maddison. Gareth Southgate could make changes to the starting XI the game against United States, with Kyle Walker, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Phil Foden coming into the team.

Wales have been disappointing for much of the tournament and face their stiffest test in this group. England were not at their best against the United States but should have enough to win this game, keep a clean sheet, and top the group.
