The Aussies had a fantastic opening 10 minutes against the world champions France. Craig Goodwin scored a sensational team goal for Australia after nine minutes and it looked like another upset could have been on the cards.
However, France equalized 20 minutes later and eventually won the game quite comfortably with a 4-1 win and a total of 23 shots towards goal.
Australia's only shot on target came as a result of their goal and they had just another four efforts towards goal too. What's more, 33% of the ball saw the nation largely dominated throughout the game too.
As for Tunisia, they were not in the best form heading into their game against Denmark, but against one of the favourites to win the World Cup and against a side that made it to the semi-finals of the Euro 2020 finals last year, Tunisia will be happy with a point.
On the other hand, they managed to have just two shots on target and they never really managed to threaten the backline of the Danish defense. At the same time, they had only 32% of the ball and they were not able to get a grip on the game throughout the 90 minutes.
