Wolverhmapton Wanderers are looking for just their third win of the Premier League season when they play hosts to Brighton & Hove Albion on the weekend with the Midlands side still managerless and sitting inside the relegation zone.

Wolves have been terrible this season, and in truth, ever since the sacking of Nuno Espirito Santo, the club have continued to go downhill and plummet down the league table in the process.

Now, they are 19th in the table, have only two wins on the board, no sides across Europe’s top five divisions have scored fewer and this also means this is the worst goalscoring start to a season for Wolves in their 133-year history.

The club looked like being able to kick on a bit more when they met with Nottingham Forest at Molineux, beating them 1-0 only because of a Ruben Neves penalty. In fact, that penalty win means just five goals from open play all league season long.

Moreover, Wolves failed to kick on, although they have remained above Forest in the drop zone ever since.

The club, still managerless too, then went on to lose 2-1 to Crystal Palace before a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Leicester City on home soil which can only be described as one of the worst results in Premier League history for them.

Wolves drew 1-1 with Brentford in the last game as they got another beautiful goal from Neves from range, although Diego Costa was sent off in that game and he now misses this one and the games before the World Cup too.

As for Brighton, they are back up into eighth after their stunning win over Chelsea put down one of their own greatest ever Premier League displays.

It moves the Seagulls back above Liverpool in the table and it also means that the club have put together five wins all season long - this is just one less than fourth-placed Newcastle United.

On the other hand, it was just the first win of the Roberto De Zerbi era after drawing with Forest and losing to Manchester City in the past two weeks.

Brighton destroyed Chelsea from start to finish that day at the AMEX, scoring three goals in the first half alone. Better yet, they even managed to win the second half with Pascal Gross scoring in the 91st minute of the game after Kai Havertz brought one back for the Blues.

Forebet predicts a win here for the Seagulls and for the game to see under 2.5 goals.
