Feyenoord and Lazio will meet in a vital game in Group F in the Europa League as the two can still qualify for the knockout rounds with Midtjylland and SK Sturm Graz still able to get into the knockout rounds too.

In fact, as Lazio and Sturm Graz both drew their games with one another and sit with eight points each, the head-to-head record gets eliminated here and Feyenoord can now get through with a win.

A draw would not be good enough, and regardless of how many goals the Dutch side may win by, they will remain in third if Sturm Graz defeat Midtjylland.

Ultimately, to qualify, Lazio need to avoid defeat and get just a point, while Feyenoord need to win and hope that Midtjylland can beat Sturm Graz.

The head-to-head record for Feyenoord over Sturm Graz is also in their favour, because despite losing 1-0 in the last meeting between those two, the club did smash them 6-0 earlier in the season and now move ahead of them in the goals difference tally as well. All of this will mean nothing, however, unless they can defeat Lazio.

The Eredivisie giants do head into the game against Lazio at a good time, however, with the Rome side losing at the Stadio Olimpico to Salernitana against all the odds, which has now seriously dampened their hopes of a title charge in 2022/23.

Lazio did lead with a goal from Mattia Zaccagni, but with three second half goals conceded against the run of play, Maurizio Sarri now sees his side in fifth in Serie A, just two weeks after getting arguably the result of the season so far with a 2-0 win in Bergamo against title challengers, Atalanta.

Nevertheless, Sarri has still guided his team into a commendable position in Serie A, as they have the second-best defensive record in the league with eight goals conceded and a fantastic goalscoring record of 24 goals scored too.

On the other hand, Lazio play in the Rome derby at the weekend, and with Roma ahead of them in the table by one point, Sarri may have one eye on that game already.

Feyenoord, however, are still fifth in the Eredivisie in what has been a struggle for them at times this season. They are still just four points off league leaders Ajax, though, and this comes because of just one loss but three draws from 11 games.

Forebet predicts a win for Lazio and the game to see over 2.5 goals.
