Manchester City will aim to leapfrog Arsenal atop the Premier League table when they face Leicester City at the King Power Stadium in the early kick-off on Saturday.

Pep Guardiola’s side currently find themselves two points behind the Gunners, who have to wait until Sunday to play Nottingham Forest.

At the opposite end of the table, Leicester sit seventeenth – two points outside the relegation zone and 15 points shy of Man City.

It wouldn’t be unfair to say that Leicester made a terrible start to the season. After drawing with Brentford on the opening weekend, they suffered six straight defeats.

Since then, however, the Foxes have lost just one of their five Premier League outings – picking up three wins and one draw along the way.

Brendan Rodgers’ men head into Saturday’s clash on a three-game unbeaten streak, having drawn with Crystal Palace (0-0) before beating Leeds (2-0) and Wolves (0-4).

But after conceding 24 goals in 12 league outings this term (2 goals per game), Leicester look set to struggle against high-flying Man City.

As for City, they have lost just one of their 11 Premier League games this season – claiming eight wins and two draws in the process.

Having netted 36 goals in 11 league games this term (3.3 goals per game), Man City are the division’s top scorers. Remarkably, they have scored over 2.5 goals in all six of their home league games.

Last time out, City were held to a goalless draw by Borussia Dortmund. Still, they booked their spot in the last 16 of the Champions League.

Head-to-head: Man City thrashed Leicester 6-3 when the teams last met back in December, sealing their third straight league win over the Foxes.

When you look at the bigger picture, Guardiola’s side have won nine of their last 11 Premier League matches against Leicester.

Team news: Leicester will be without the injured duo of Ricardo Pereira and Ryan Bertrand on Saturday, while Wilfred Ndidi and Jonny Evans are doubts.

On the flip side, the Man City pair of Kalvin Phillips and Kyle Walker remain sidelined and are unlikely to feature before the World Cup.

Regardless of Leicester’s recent upturn, Man City shouldn’t struggle to claim all three points at the King Power Stadium.

Forebet predicts that Manchester City will secure the victory on Saturday, keeping a clean sheet in the process.
