Wolverhampton Wanderers and Nottingham Forest are separated by a solitary point in the Premier League table as they prepare to do battle at Molineux on Saturday afternoon.

With nine games in the books, Wolves find themselves 18th with six points to their name. Meanwhile, Forest sit 19th with five points.

Given that bottom club Leicester City are one point shy of Forest and two behind Wolves, both sides will be desperate to claim all three points at Molineux.

The Wanderers have only managed to win one of their nine Premier League games this season, registering three draws and five losses.

Earlier this month, Bruno Lage was sacked following back-to-back defeats to Manchester City (3-0) and West Ham United (2-0). However, they lost to Chelsea (3-0) last time out.

Not only have Wolves failed to score in each of their last three league games, but they have also failed to score in six of their nine league games this term.

Having netted a measly three goals in the Premier League this season, Wolves are the lowest scorers by some distance.

That said, Nottingham Forest are the second-lowest scorers in the division after bagging just seven goals this term.

Steve Cooper’s side also have the second-worst defensive record in the Premier League, having conceded a whopping 22 goals.

Like Wolves, Forest have only managed to win one of their nine league outings this season. However, the East Midlands outfit have recorded two draws and six losses.

Although Forest ended a run of five successive defeats with a 1-1 draw against Aston Villa last time out, they are likely to struggled away from home this weekend.

Head-to-head: Wolves and Forest met in the EFL Cup last season. On that occasion, the Wanderers thrashed the Reds 4-0 at the City Ground.

When you look at the bigger picture, Forest have managed to win just one of their last eight meetings with Wolves across all competitions – suffering five defeats in that time.

Team news: Wolves have a number of key players injured at the moment, including Pedro Neto, Raul Jimenez and Sasa Kalajdzic.

As for Forest, they look set to be without the injured trio of Moussa Niakhate, Omar Richards and Jack Colback this weekend.

Granted, Forest turned the corner with a draw last time out. But Wolves are expected to flex their muscles and claim all three points on Saturday.

Forebet predicts that both teams will score at Molineux. However, Wolves are expected to outscore Forest on their way to victory.
