They will take heart from the fact that they have now scored at least two goals in their last three La Liga outings. However, that prolific run will face a stiff test from the reigning Spanish champions' backline.
Getafe have not been great of late on home soil, as they have won just one of their previous eight La Liga matches at home. They have also failed to score in five of their last seven league games on home soil.
The reigning Spanish champions are currently in second place in the table, trailing arch-rivals Barcelona courtesy of an inferior goal difference. A surprise 1-1 home draw against Osasuna last time out in La Liga ended a six-game winning streak for Los Blancos in the Spanish top-flight. However, the draw did extend Real Madrid’s unbeaten run in the Spanish top-flight to ten games.
Real Madrid has an excellent recent away record in La Liga, having recorded four straight league wins on their travels. Ancelotti’s team is also unbeaten in five league matches away from home.
Los Blancos have been highly potent in attack on their travels of late, scoring at least two goals in all four of their recent victories.
