Bosnia & Herzegovina will host Montenegro on Friday in Zenica for a League B Group 3 top-of-the-table clash. The home side are first place in Group 3 with eight points from four matches.
Montenegro are second in the group with seven points from four games. There two matches left in the UEFA Nations League, and both teams are desperate for a win.

Bosnia & Herzegovina could seal their progression to League A with a victory. Montenegro could move into first place with one matchday left to play with a win.
The reverse fixture played in June finished 1-1. Bosnia & Herzegovina took the lead through Luka Menalo on 62 minutes. Adam Marusic levelled the score with 13 minutes left on the clock for the draw.
Bosnia & Herzegovina are in fantastic form ahead of this week’s match. They are unbeaten in five straight fixtures in all competitions, and have not lost a UEFA Nations League match this season. They have outscored opponents 6-4 in the competition.
Montenegro are unbeaten in back-to-back matches in the UEFA Nations League. After drawing 1-1 with Bosnia & Herzegovina, Montenegro defeated Romania 3-0. Montenegro outscored their opponents 6-3 in the UEFA Nations League.
Stevan Jovetic could start in the attack for Montenegro. He has been capped 63 times by the national team, and has 31 international goals. Vissel Kobe’s Stefan Mugosa will push for a place in the starting XI. He has 15 goals in 43 appearances for the national side.
Mugosa scored a hat-trick against Romania in Montenegro’s 3-0 win in June. The striker has four goals in Montenegro’s last four matches in all competitions.
Edin Dzeko and Miralem Pjanic may be ageing, but both players are in the team for the international break. Dzeko has 124 caps and 63 goals for Bosnia & Herzegovina. Eupen striker Smail Prevljack could play in attack with Dzeko. Prevljack has six goals in 21 appearances for the national team.
Pjanic now plays club football in the UAE. He is still a vital member of the Bosnia & Herzegovina team and should start in midfield.
Bosnia & Herzegovina defeated Finland in their most recent game. Dzeko scored twice, while Pjanic scored the other goal. The 3-2 win against Finland reaffirmed the importance of the two ageing stars.
These teams couldn’t be separated in the previous UEFA Nations League match, and Friday’s fixture should end much the same. Bosnia & Herzegovina and Montenegro should draw with under 2.5 goals scored.
