Monza Could Snatch a Draw Against the Struggling Juventus

Monza are set to continue their search for their first-ever Serie A win when their torrid start to life in Serie A faces another huge test with Juventus coming to town in search of a return to the win column themselves after the chaos against Salernitana.

The scenes in Turin last weekend were something like we have not seen before with VAR in the top flight, in what is normally a league that represents the technology quite well.

Salernitana did go 2-0 up at the Juventus Stadium that day, before Leonardo Bonucci grabbed the equaliser in the 93rd minute. However, it was the scenes deeper into stoppage time where chaos ensued.

Arkadiusz Milik looked as if he had scored another goal for the season in the 96th minute. However, his goal was later denied through a controversial VAR call that saw that Bonucci was offside, although he didn’t touch the ball and barely halted the goalkeepers movement.

Worse yet for Juventus, Milik was then sent off for his response to the goal being chalked off, just Juan Cuadrado also got a red card for the same reaction.

In reality, a 2-2 comeback draw from 2-0 down is commendable in some ways for the Old Lady, but for Juventus on home soil after the start they have had and in the circumstances in stoppage time, it is another awful game for the club to deal with.

It got worse for the Serie A giants in the Champions League too in midweek too, as Benfica defeated them 2-1 to make it two losses in a row for the Turin side.

Milik did get a legitimate goal this time around, but with Benfica coming back to win the game at the Juventus Stadium, Max Allegri is in deep trouble now.

Monza are still without a win in what is their first Serie A season ever, and with them only drawing one game and losing the other five, they do sit in last place right now in the league.

Worse yet, with 14 goals let in already, they are set to face a long season of fighting the drop if things don’t change.

Against a Juventus side looking to return to the win column, Monza are going to struggle to get their first-ever Serie A win. Forebet predicts a draw here between two sides out of form, and for the game to see under 2.5 goals.
