Emery has four players receiving treatment at the Estadio de la Ceramica. Midfielder Manu Trigueros has a muscle injury and is a doubt.
Forward Gerard Moreno has a hamstring problem and is out of action until October. Defenders Juan Foyth and Alberto Moreno are both set to miss the match as well through injury.
Sevilla did the double over Villarreal last season. However, Los Rojiblancos are in poor form. They were outscored 10-6 in the opening five matches of the campaign. Villarreal allowed one goal in the opening five games of the La Liga season.
Villarreal’s defence should play well once more. Sevilla’s goal-scoring chances will be limited as Villarreal post a win. The Yellow Submarine should win 3-1.
