Manchester City have won four straight matches against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the league. On Saturday at lunchtime, the Premier League rivals will kick off at Molineux with Man City seeking a fifth consecutive victory over the Old Gold.
The Cityzens are coming off a midweek Champions League win against Borussia Dortmund. Erling Haaland’s 84th-minute goal gave Man City a 2-1 win. It was Haaland’s 13th goal in eight games in all competitions this season.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are 14th in the league ahead of Saturday’s match. The Old Gold are unbeaten in three straight matches. However, just one of Wolves’ six league matches have ended in a win this season.
That win came on matchday No. 6 against Southampton as Wolves won 1-0 at Molineux. Goals are an issue for Wolves this season with just three goals scored in six games. The defence is playing well, however. Wolves have conceded four times.
Manchester City lead the Premier League in goal-scoring. Twenty goals have been tallied in six games. However, Man City drew 1-1 with Aston Villa on matchday No. 6. The Cityzens nearly lost the match as Villa had a goal ruled out for offside late in the match.
Last season, Manchester City claimed a 1-0 win at Molineux. Raheem Sterling scored a penalty just after the hour mark. The reverse fixture at the Etihad Stadium finished 5-1 for the Cityzens.
Lage has two players on the Wolves’ injury list ahead of Saturday’s match. Chiquinho is out with a knee injury. Striker Sasa Kalajdzic is also out following an ACL injury.
Wolverhampton Wanderers signed former Chelsea striker Diego Costa on a free transfer following Kalajdizc’s injury. Costa hasn’t played football in 2022. He is a gamble, but one Wolves had to make.
Just two players are receiving treatment for Pep Guardiola. Full-back Kyle Walker is out of the team until after the international break. Centre-back Aymeric Laporte is also out until October.
