Roma will be aiming to move back to the top of the table when they meet with Udinese away from home this weekend as Jose Mourinho's side have so far put up an excellent fight in the early stages of Serie A this campaign.

Mourinho, after finishing sixth and winning the inaugural Europa Conference League last season, has now put his side in a fantastic position in this new season.

The signing of players like Nemanja Matic will help bolster an already solid squad, and the likes of Paulo Dybala may just be the missing ingredient in helping Roma challenge for a title after so many years without a trophy in Italy.

Mourinho's men eased past Monza last weekend when they managed to hammer the newly-promoted club 3-0.

The game saw Dybala properly introduce himself to Rome, as he netted two excellent goals inside the first half, before a goal from Roger Ibanez in the second 45 sealed all three points.

Previous to this, Roma met with Juventus in Turin in what was billed as the game of the season early on in Italy. A goal from Juventus gave them the lead early on, but an equaliser from striker Tammy Abraham forced a 1-1 draw and keeps the club unbeaten after four games, with three wins and one draw.

Roma did also manage to beat Cremonese 1-0 two weeks back, as Chris Smalling put on a clinic with a clean sheet and the winning goal.

Bryan Cristante was also the difference as the club beat Salernitana 1-0 away from home on the opening weekend, and in truth, Roma have not looked weak so far.

As for Udinese, they managed to jump up into ninth by defeating Fiorentina 1-0 in midweek, as Beto scored a goal in a fixture largely dominated by the away side.

This comes off the back of a 0-0 draw with Salernitana too, as Neuhuen Perez was sent off in the first half and is now still suspended for this game and can return afterwards.

The Udine outfit also defeated Monza 2-1 two weeks back, with Destiny Udogie scoring the winner 15 minutes before time, as Beto also scored another goal. A 4-2 loss to AC Milan on the opening weekend does keep them with two wins, one draw and a loss so far in Serie A after four games.

Forebet predicts Roma will keep winning here as they look like they could be genuinely putting down an early marker for a surprise title charge this campaign. Forebet predicts the game to see under 2.5 goals.
