Stop the press because it is time to break up this Brighton team. After four matchdays, Brighton are unbeaten and on Tuesday night, the Seagulls could go top of the table with a win and results going their way elsewhere.

Graham Potter’s team has taken a brilliant 10 points from 12 points on offer in the league. The Seagulls’ last two games in the Premier League both ended as wins with a 2-0 victory away to West Ham and a 1-0 win versus Leeds United.

Newly-promoted Fulham are next for the Seagulls. Marco Silva’s team is coming off of a 2-1 loss away to Arsenal at the Emirates.

It was a game in which Fulham let a 1-0 lead slip through their hands. Aleksandar Mitrovic’s second half goal put the Cottagers ahead but the defence couldn’t hold on.

Now, Fulham host Brighton seeking to rebound. The Cottagers have started the season well with five points from 12 on offer. Fulham are 11th and could move as high as fifth with a win and results going their way elsewhere.

Draws have been the most common result between these teams across their last six matches in all competitions.

Three of the last six games between Fulham and Brighton were stalemates, while the Cottagers won two and Brighton claimed a win.

The last time these teams met was during the 2020-21 Premier League campaign. Both games ended nil-nil as neither side could get a goal to save their lives.

Brighton’s defence has been strong this season, conceding just one goal. The defence will come up against a Fulham side with six goals scored. Four of those goals have come from Mitrovic.

Fulham’s defence has been weak, conceding six goals in four games. Three of Fulham’s four matches this term have ended with both teams scoring and over 2.5 goals scored.

Brighton’s last three games ended with both teams not scoring and the defence keeping a trip of clean sheets.

Brighton’s attack is slightly below its xG of 6.77, while the defence’s xGA of 3.52 is higher than the real total goals of 1.0. The Seagulls are allowing slightly fewer goals than they should be after four games.

Silva continues to be without forward Harry Wilson. The forward is ruled out with a knee problem. Manor Solomon is also ruled out with a knee injury.

For Potter, Jakub Moder will miss the game with a knee injury. Adam Lallana is ruled out with a calf strain and Jeremy Sarmiento is a major doubt thanks to a knee problem.

Brighton are off to a hot start and it should continue at Craven Cottage. The Seagulls should post a win at full-time with over 2.5 goals scored.

Expect the Seagulls to concede to Fulham. Five-percent of Premier League games have ended 2-1 in favour of the away team. Brighton should win 2-1.
