West Ham United come into their latest Premier League encounter without a goal to their name in the new domestic season as Brighton & Hove Albion come to town off the back of registering four points from two games.

It has been a torrid start to the new season in the Premier League for West Ham. The club once again played hosts to Manchester City on the opening weekend, and after an Erling Haaland brace, the Hammers were outclassed from start to finish and never really laid a glove on the champions.

West Ham did have three shots on target, but with barely any momentum or periods of success in the game, the London Stadium emptied quite fast towards the end of the game.

David Moyes took his men on the road in the next game, and with them having the toughest home test to deal with against City, things barely got easier with them meeting against Nottingham Forest in what was their first home game in the Premier League for 23 years.

Once again, Moyes’ side looked at sixes and sevens in the game and barely tested Forest in the game, besides two efforts on goal that questioned Dean Henderson between the posts. At the same time, West Ham struggled to put anything together in the attacking sense, and Forest eventually strolled to a win over the Hammers.

West Ham did, however, finally get some goals and a win in midweek when they met with Viborg in the Europa Conference League qualifiers, and it was a comfortable victory at the London Stadium for them.

Gianluca Scamacca got some action in a West Ham shirt after signing from Sassuolo and he scored 23 minutes into his first home start with a typical Scamacca goal, as he headed in from close range after a fantastic Maxwel Cornet cross.

Jarrod Bowen scored a fantastic goal from long range, before Michail Antonio made it 3-1 in a comfortable night for the Hammers. Viborg did score a goal, however, as more questions were asked of Moyes’ defence at times in the game.

Brighton are unbeaten, however, with them schooling Manchester United at Old Trafford on the opening weekend with two goals from Pascal Groß inside five minutes of one another in the first half.

The Seagulls also got a commendable point against the rising Newcastle United, although they could have won the game with more efforts on target than the opposition.

Forebet expects another Brighton win in this one, and for the game to see over 2.5 goals.
