It’s the first leg of the Europa League third round qualifiers here as AEK Larnaca will welcome FK Partizan to the Partizan Stadium as the Serbian giants look to improve on their poor record so far in the SuperLiga.

Four games have passed so far for the Serbian giants on the domestic front. As of now, everybody is following the tail of Red Star Belgrade who sit at the top of the table with a stunning record of four wins from four games.

Everyone else, however, is already playing catchup, and it doesn't look as if they're going to be able to be stopped.

Partizan so far have won just one of the four games in the league to this point, and although they still manage to boast of a positive goals difference record with seven goals scored and four conceded, they remain down in seventh and have just five points on the board and trail the league leaders by seven points already.

The club kicked things off against Javor in the Serbian SuperLiga, with Mihanjlo Petkovic, Bibars Natcho, and Samed Bazfar scoring in open play in what was a fantastic performance from Partizan on the opening day.

Ricardo Jorge Pires Gomes scored in the dying seconds from the penalty spot too to make things 4-0, as it looked like the club would be able to kick on and put up an early right for the top spots early on.

It's been anything but that with a three-game winless run now, after they drew 3-3 with Radnicki Nis, 0-0 with Backa Topola, and then felt the pain of a 1-0 loss to Novi Pazar in the most recent clash too.

The club are now struggling to get any result right now, but they remain the favourites in most games they play and they should get the job done here as well.

As for Larnaca, they are coming off the back of two 1-1 draws with Midtjylland in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers, which forced the two-legged tie into penalties.

They lost 4-3 in the shootout, and now they have another chance to get into Europe for this upcoming season with them meeting Partizan in the Europa League qualifiers.

The Cypriot side were in excellent form last season as well with just six losses all campaign long in the league, scoring 44 times and conceding an impressive 29 goals across the division.

With Partizan’s struggling form, Forebet predicts a win for Larnaca here and for the game to see under 2.5 goals.
