It’s gameweek three in the Clausura stage of the Peruvian Primera División as Ayacucho welcome Universidad César Vallejo to the Estadio Ciudad de Cumaná with both sides separated by a point in the table now after two games.

In the Clausura stage, Cesar Vallejo have currently won one game and lost one, which puts them ahead of Ayacucho by a mere point.

The away side here managed to beat ADT last time out in a thrilling 3-2 encounter where the club ended up having eight shots on target.

What's more, Cesar Vallejo also lost to Cienciano on the opening day of this league stage and it so far makes things very tight in the middle of the Peruvian Primera División.

As for Ayacucho, they've drawn both of their games to this point in this league stage, as they took a point from Carlos Stein away from home before returning back to home soil where they got a point against Deportivo Municipal.

Back in the Apertura side, things were very different for both teams here and there is already a great contrast heading into this game in terms of form and league standing from the first round. Ayacucho finished bottom of the table in what was a torrid effort all season long.

They managed to win only three games across the 18 in the first round of fixtures, along with three draws and the league's most defeats with 12.

What's more, they managed to concede a load of goals as 32 efforts went in on their own goal with Ayacucho only managing to score 25 of their own.

In fact, their 24 goals was the most inside the bottom seven with their 32 conceded being the fourth-most in the entire division as well.

As for Cesar Vallejo, they finished an almighty 18 points above Ayacucho in the Apertura stage of the Peruvian Primera Division.

This saw them tally up 30 points from 18 games, as they won eight and lost only four times - this was fewer defeats than fourth-placed Alianza Lima.

On the other hand, they also drew six times in this round of the league stage, but they will need to work on their goalscoring ability moving forward.

In fact, with 25 goals scored, Cesar Vallejo managed to score the same amount of goals as Ayacucho across the Apertura stage, despite finishing 12 places above them in the league table.

Forebet still predicts a win for them here and for the game to see over 2.5  goals.
