Sunday afternoon brings us a top six clash in the Swedish Allsvenskan between 3rd placed hosts, AIK, and their 6th placed visitors, Kalmar, when the two teams meet at the Friends Arena in Solna, with both sides heading into this encounter on the back of draws last weekend.
Taking a look at AIK first and although the hosts currently sit in 3rd spot in the Allsvenskan standings, they have stumbled somewhat in recent weeks with gaining just one win out of their last six matches overall, that coming in the form of a 2-1 win away from home at basement dwellers, Helsingborg.

AIK also suffered a 1-0 defeat at home to Mjallby but the draw has been the most prominent result recently where the hosts have been concerned.
AIK have been involved in no fewer than four draws within this six-match period.
Points have had to be shared with Hammarby, Sirius, Degerfors and Elfsborg and this has resulted with AIK dropping down to 3rd place and they’re now three points adrift of the Allsvenskan leaders, Hacken.
Kalmar sit in 6th spot but are just four points adrift of a coveted top three berth prior to this weekend’s top flight action in Sweden.
Аnd they too were involved in a draw last weekend as they were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Sirius.
Indeed, that was a third draw in four matches for Kalmar who had previously been held to stalemates by Mjallby and Helsingborg.
But nevertheless, Kalmar have produced a solid sequence of results of late in the Allsvenskan which has seen the visitors lose just once in their last eight matches overall.
That loss came in the form of a 3-1 defeat away at league leaders, Hacken, but Kalmar have also picked up wins against Goteborg, Hammarby, Djurgarden and Varnamo along with the three aforementioned draws.
The bigger picture shows Kalmar have lost just five of their last 15 outings on the road so the visitors are certainly no pushovers and look very capable of picking up at least a point against a seemingly wobbling AIK outfit this weekend.
Two of the previous four meetings between AIK and Kalmar have ended in stalemate and another draw could well be on the cards once again this Sunday too.
