The Canadian top flight is in action again this weekend and features this upcoming clash between Forge and Atletico Ottawa in Sunday’s Canadian Premier League at the Tim Horton Field with both teams looking to further their ambitions of a possible top four finish this season.
Forge slipped to an unexpected narrow 1-0 defeat at home to third from bottom outfit, Valour, last time out which ended Forge’s previously impressive four-match winning streak in the Premier League which saw the hosts pick up important wins against HFX Wanderers (home and away), Edmonton and Pacific respectively.

Overall, Forge have suffered three defeats within their total of 10 league matches played to date this term, two of which were inflicted upon them away from home though.
So the hosts will be fairly confident that they can produce a positive response on Sunday when they welcome Atletico Ottawa.
With just three losses in their last 11 games on home soil at their Tim Horton Field, Forge will be seeking a bounce-back win here in order to cement their place in the top four of the division.
Atletico Ottawa will be looking to make it two away wins on the bounce on Sunday against Forge after the visitors had posted a welcome 2-0 win on the road at HFX Wanderers which saw Ottawa return to winning ways.
Atletico Ottawa had previously failed to win their preceding two games as they were held to a 0-0 draw at home with York United which was then followed by a disappointing 1-0 defeat away from home at basement dwellers, Edmonton, who picked up their first win of the Premier League season in the process.
Results away from home have been solid though for Atletico Ottawa as they have lost just two of their last 10 matches on their travels.
And they’ll be hoping that this will stand them in good stead for Sunday’s trip to the Tim Horton Field.
Forge have certainly held the upper hand though in previous exchanges against Atletico Ottawa.
The hosts are unbeaten in each of the last seven meetings against their visitors, picking up six wins in the process, so Forge look set to add to their points tally here this Sunday.
