On Monday night, Skanederbyt rivals Malmo and Helsingborg face off at the Eleda Stadium as the 2022 Swedish Allsvenskan campaign reaches Matchday 11.

Helsingborg are rock bottom of the table – six points from safety – having won just one of their 11 league matches this season.

At the opposite end of the standings, Malmo find themselves fifth – 13 points clear of Helsingborg and five points behind first-place Hacken.

Malmo suffered a three-game losing streak in May, falling to AIK Stockholm, Djurgarden and Hacken while scoring just once.

However, they head into Monday’s clash on a two-game winning run following victories over Hammarby and Degerfors.

Despite sitting fifth in the table, Malmo have scored just 11 goals in 11 games. That means only five teams have netted fewer goals this term.

That said, Malmo have only lost four of their previous 24 Allsvenskan games – underlining their usual consistency.

As for Helsingborg, they are in a real mess. Not only have they won just one of their 11 league games this season, but they have also suffered eight defeats.

To make matter worse, Helsingborg have conceded 18 league goals this year. Only two sides in the division have a poorer defensive record.

Helsingborg head into Monday’s clash on a four-game losing streak after going down to Norrkoping, Degerford, Varnamo and AIK.

When you look at the bigger picture, Helsingborg have failed to win any of their past seven Allsvenskan encounters – recording two draws and five losses in the process.

Head-to-head: Malmo are currently enjoying a five-game winning run against Helsingborg, scoring 14 goals while conceding just once in that time.

Helsingborg have only managed to win one of their previous ten meetings with Malmo, suffering eight defeats along the way.

Team news: Malmo currently have Jonas Knudsen (knee injury), Adi Nalic (cruciate ligament rupture) and Anders Christiansen (groin injury) on the treatment table.

On the flip side, Helsingborg will be without Brandur Hendriksson on Monday as he continues to recover from a knee issue.

In addition to sitting 13 points clear of Helsingborg, Malmo have won eight of their past ten clashes against their next opponents.

Having won each of their previous five games against Helsingborg, Forebet predicts that Malmo will claim all three points on Monday.
