Belgium welcome Poland to Brussels on Wednesday as the Red Devils aim to bounce back from a 4-1 thrashing against the Netherlands.

Roberto Martinez’s side find themselves rock bottom of UEFA Nations League Group A4 following Friday’s heavy defeat.

On the flip side, Poland sit second – level with the Dutch and three points clear of Belgium – after beating Wales 2-1 in their campaign opener.

After conceding just before half-time on Friday, Belgium let in three goals in the first 16 minutes of the second half – suffering a humiliating loss at the hands of the Netherlands.

Despite registering 13 shots – six of which were on target – the Red Devils could only manage a late consolation goal, courtesy of Michy Batshuayi.

Belgium have now lost three of their previous seven games in all competitions, having fallen to France and Italy in last season’s Nations League finals.

That said, Martinez’s men have won ten of their previous 16 outings – proving that they’ve got what it takes to enjoy success.

Meanwhile, Poland found themselves 1-0 down against Wales with less than a quarter of the game remaining.

However, late goals from Jakub Kaminski and Karol Swiderski handed the White and Reds all three points in their opening Nations League clash.

Poland are currently enjoying a three-game unbeaten streak across all competitions, having picked up two wins and a draw since their last loss.

When you look at the bigger picture, Poland have lost just one of their previous ten outings – securing seven wins and two draws along the way.

Head-to-head: The all-time head-to-head record of this fixture is relatively even, with Poland (7 wins) and Belgium (6 wins) drawing on six occasions.

It is worth noting, however, that Poland are currently enjoying a three-game unbeaten run against Belgium, having won the past two encounters back in 2006 and 2007.

Team news: Belgium head coach Martinez will almost certainly ring the changes after the thrashing to the Netherlands, meaning Yannick Carrasco and Dries Mertens should start.

As for Poland, Karol Swiderski could partner Robert Lewandowski in attack after scoring the winner against Wales. Adam Buksa may drop to the bench.

Following last week’s heavy loss to the Netherlands, Belgium will be looking to get back on track at the first available opportunity.

Forebet predicts that Belgium will claim a high-scoring win over Poland, scoring over 3.5 goals on their way to victory.
